CCSD Application for Dual Enrollment Participation Deadline Dates

You must complete the CCSD DE Participation Form and meet with your School Counselor by the deadline dates listed below.

  • Summer 2024 Participation (if available): CCSD Participation Form Deadline of March 17, 2024
  • Fall 2024 Participation: CCSD Participation Form Deadline of March 31, 2024
  • Spring 2025 Participation: CCSD Participation Form Deadline of October 13, 2024

Things to consider before applying to Dual Enrollment:

1. What program/college do you want to attend? (See local options/requirements below)
2. Do you meet the admission requirements?
3. What testing do you need to complete? SAT/ACT/Accuplacer?
4. What college do you ultimately hope to attend after graduation? 
     A. Will they accept the credits?
     B. Will they view the credits as rigorous (as compared to AP)?
5. How will DE credits affect GPA/rank/HOPE?
6. Do you want to go full-time or part-time, end of the day, beginning of the day?
7. How will you balance extracurriculars, job, athletics, daily interactions at WHS, getting information, participating in events, & friendships?
8. How will you get there (transportation)?


Dual Enrollment application steps

1. Determine deadline(s) and requirements (checklists and requirements are on the college webpage). 
2. Schedule, take, and send SAT/ACT/Accuplacer scores. 
3. Student AND Parent – email WHS counselor to schedule a meeting to complete:
    A. Academic advisement to create a plan for graduation and to complete the Dual Enrollment Participation Agreement Form.
    B. Complete the CCSD Student Participation Form (covers CCSD policies, rules, guidelines etc.).
4. Complete the Dual Enrollment college application on the college’s Dual Enrollment website.
5. Submit Dual Enrollment Participation Agreement Form to the college (upload online to their admission site as a part of the application).
6. Submit an official copy of your high school transcript electronically through GAFUTURES    


Steps to complete after acceptance into Dual Enrollment

1. Receive Acceptance Email/Notification

The student will receive an acceptance email from the college that will instruct him/her to schedule advisement/orientation at the college (schedule this ASAP!) where you will learn:
a. How to register for classes
b. How to obtain parking permits, books, student ID, etc.
c. College academic expectations (office hours, attendance requirements, etc.)
d. Available campus resources – special student services, tutoring, career services, etc.
e. Remaining requirements for enrollment – proof of lawful presence, immunization, etc.

2. Register for classes online as soon as possible to get the best choice of classes and times.
