Things to consider before applying to Dual Enrollment:
Dual Enrollment application steps
1. Determine deadline(s) and requirements (checklists and requirements are on the college webpage).

2. Schedule, take, and send SAT/ACT/Accuplacer scores.
3. Student AND Parent – email WHS counselor to schedule a meeting to complete:
A. Academic advisement to create a plan for graduation and to complete the Dual Enrollment Participation Agreement Form.
B. Complete the CCSD Student Participation Form (covers CCSD policies, rules, guidelines etc.).
4. Complete the Dual Enrollment college application on the college’s Dual Enrollment website.
5. Submit Dual Enrollment Participation Agreement Form to the college (upload online to their admission site as a part of the application).
6. Submit an official copy of your high school transcript electronically through GAFUTURES

Steps to complete after acceptance into Dual Enrollment
1. Receive Acceptance Email/Notification
The student will receive an acceptance email from the college that will instruct him/her to schedule advisement/orientation at the college (schedule this ASAP!) where you will learn:
a. How to register for classes
b. How to obtain parking permits, books, student ID, etc.
c. College academic expectations (office hours, attendance requirements, etc.)
d. Available campus resources – special student services, tutoring, career services, etc.
e. Remaining requirements for enrollment – proof of lawful presence, immunization, etc.
2. Register for classes online as soon as possible to get the best choice of classes and times.
3. Complete the dual enrollment funding application/student participation agreement through GAfutures.org.
This is a multi-step process:
A: Student must have or create a GAFutures account
B: Student must complete the GAFutures Dual Enrollment funding application/student participation agreement
4. GIVE A PRINTOUT OF DETAILED SCHEDULE TO YOUR WHS COUNSELOR BEFORE THE END OF SCHOOL!
Dual Enrollment Local Options and Deadlines
ALL DATES and REQUIREMENTS below are SUBJECT TO CHANGE! It is the student/parent responsibility to verify. For the best possible college scheduling, it is STRONGLY ADVISED that parents/students meet with their WHS counselor at least one month before the college application deadline.
GPA: No minimum GPA for admission but students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA every semester to continue the program.
*Uploading qualifying test scores is optional for the 2022-2023 school year
- While not required for admission, placement testing is still available to applicants who need guidance on determining which coursework is appropriate for their skill level. If you are interested in Accuplacer testing, please visit our placement testing page.
SAT: Reading 25, Writing 26, Math 24
ACT: Reading 19, English 19, Math 19
PSAT: Reading 23, Writing and Language Arts 24, Math 22
Accuplacer: English/Sentence Skills 70, Reading 64, Arithmetic 34 and Elementary Algebra 57
Application Deadlines (all materials must be received by 4:30pm)

AGE: Must be classified as an 11th or 12th grader. Students that are under the age of 16 by the first day of class must submit the Dual Enrollment Program Acknowledgment Form for Minors.
GPA: 3.0 minimum unweighted core GPA as recalculated by KSU
SAT: Minimum Composite Score of 1200 (minimum Evidence-based Reading and Writing test score of 480 AND minimum Math section score of 440)
ACT: 26 composite or higher AND minimum English or Reading score of 17 and Math score 17
Accuplacer: Reading: 237. WritePlacer: 4. Math: 258
Last Test they will accept for their March Deadline is the February ACT and March SAT
The following course must be completed with grades by the first day of classes to be considered for admission: 2 units of English, 2 units of Math (completion of Algebra 2), 2 units of Science, 1 unit of Social Science
Spring Deadline: November 1, 2022
