Eight CCSD Student Athletes Honored by Positive Athlete Georgia
Eight Cherokee County School District student athletes have been honored by Positive Athlete Georgia and now are eligible for best in state awards!
Positive Athlete Georgia organization, which promotes the benefits of positivity to young athletes around the world, presents annual awards to outstanding high school student athletes. The nonprofit organization has named its “Top 7” Positive Athletes in 29 different sport categories from nominated athletes statewide. One of these honorees in each category later this spring will be named the statewide winner for their sport.

More than 6,400 high school students are nominated for these honors annually by coaches, principals, athletic directors, teachers and parents. In addition to demonstrating excellence in their sport, Positive Athletes must show these characteristics: optimistic attitude, teammate encouragement, servant leadership, heart for others, ability to admit imperfections, giving 100 percent all the time, and realizing the team as more important than the individual.
