School Board Recognizes CCSD Police Officers

Thank you to our School Board for its longtime investment in our school safety and security! To celebrate National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, our School Board at its monthly meeting recognized the 35 POST-certified officers who make up our state-certified police department. Our School Board increased its investment in the CCSD Police Department this school year because of our officers’ critically important role of ensuring our students safely and securely learn, grow and achieve more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else. That investment would not be possible without the support of local educational funding from our community. The audience showed our community’s support by rising for a standing ovation for our officers.
